An exhibition of images taken by two Warwickshire photographers during a trip to Japan is to be the subject of a high profile exhibition at an art gallery in Stratford-upon-Avon.

The work of Avon Studios photographers Andrew Sheppard & Sophie Taylor will feature in a five week exhibition that will be part of a series of events taking place in Stratford-upon-Avon to celebrate Shakespeare’s birthday.

The exhibition which runs from April 5th until May 9th , is a collaboration between Avon Studios and Stratford District Council who owns and run the gallery.

The photos were taken while Andrew & Sophie were enjoying a prize they won by sweeping the board in Fujifilm’s annual Seven Brides photography awards. The prize saw them riding the famous bullet train and visiting Mount Fuji as well as enjoying a tour of the Fujifilm factory and a chance to swap tips with some of Japan’s leading wedding and portrait photographers.

Andrew and Sophie will give a talk about their photography work and the inspiration behind it. The photographs have been turned into unique canvas blocks the cost of which has been sponsored by Fuji Hunt. Support for the exhibition has also been made by Stratford District Council and The Arts Council.

The works will be sold after the exhibition and the money given to charities close to the photographer’s hearts- Sargent Cancer Care for Children and the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
